Hot-melt wood filler that sets in seconds

Wood Repair Knot Filler is a hot-melt wood filler for knots, cracks, splits, nail holes and damaged edges in solid wood, veneer, plywood and engineered boards. Melt a stick with a Knot Filler gun or cooling iron, press it into the defect, and within a minute it is hard enough to cut, plane and sand flush. No mixing, no drying time, no shrinkage. The cured filler is water-repellent and stays slightly flexible, so it moves with the wood instead of cracking out: on hardwood floors, stairs, windows, doors, decking and furniture, and in glulam and CLT production.

Color-matched, ready for any finish

The sticks come in eight wood tones, Knot, Pine, Oak, Ash, Beech, Walnut, Mahogany and Black, plus White for painted work. Blend two tones on the iron to hit the exact grain, then oil, stain, lacquer or paint over the repair. Knot Filler is non-toxic and solvent-free, so it is safe to use in occupied rooms and on furniture.

Which kit for which job

  • Plus+ Kit: the corded WR 180 gun with 16 compact sticks in all eight tones. For installers, carpenters and serious DIY with occasional repairs.
  • PRO Kit: the corded WR 360 gun with adjustable temperature. For the workshop and production.
  • PRO Cordless Kit: the WR 540 gun runs on your own 18V DeWalt, Makita, Milwaukee, Bosch or Ryobi battery via adapter. For daily use on site.

All three guns take the same 12 mm sticks, so any refill bag, 300 mm or compact 150 mm, fits any kit. For jobs without heat, E800 Aqua+ is the water-based paste filler in Oak, Pine and White.
